Reiki Symbols Revealed

Here you’ll find Reiki Reiki Symbols revealed after being traditionally sacred and secret and revealed only during 2nd Degree Attunement and only to the eyes of the students. All Reiki Symbols presented below were drawn in class by Mrs. Takata.

There is so much controversy on every facet of Reiki, Reiki Healing symbols are not exception. Some say, all Reiki symbols are not needed, not used in Japan, and even not a part of original authentic Reiki system. Those who swear by the Usui Reiki symbols, have great uniformity among themselves on how to draw them. Oh, and don’t forget the secrecy of the all Reiki symbols that just recently became available for viewing to all. Surely, there is a lot I would like to add to discussion. However in my meditation on the subject, I was instructed to keep it simple.

Reiki Symbols Revealed during a 2nd Degree Attunement. Terry Rogers, my first Reiki Master who passed Reiki symbols to me has kept his teaching purely traditional according to his direct and short Usui lineage: Usui/Hayashi/Takata/Samdahl/Lazonby/Rogers.

Traditionally, Usui Reiki symbols were sacred. They were respected, honored and used with highest integrity. Usui Reiki symbols and their use were given only to the students and copies were not allowed to leave a room. They had to be memorized during the class. This may be the reason there are so many versions of the symbols now.

Reiki symbols pictures presented below were drawn in class by Mrs. Takata and handed down by Reiki Master Virginia Samadhi (Mrs. Takata’s first master student) to Barbi Lazonby, to Terry Rogers, and to yours truly, Yelena Chizhik.

Usui Reiki Symbols could do no harm. But they only have real power when activated during 2nd Degree attunement.

When drawing symbols, use the palm of your dominant hand. Mentally, repeat the name of the symbol 3 times.
